Academic Notes:
English Div 5 and 6: You had a work block to complete: setting descriptions, character sketches and to begin drafting your fantasy or science fiction story. Both the setting and character assignments are now PAST due. The rough draft of the fantasy/science fiction story is due on Friday next week.
French Div 5 Porter Dialogues were completed. We looked at the francophone world and you were assigned the Francophone Country Project. Refer to the course link for the outline.
Social Studies Div 5: Using a map you calculated distances using a scale of 1:10 centimeters to kilometers. We then did three practice questions using a scale of 1:150000 centimeters to meters. You were asked to convert the distance from meters to kilometers. Next Social Studies class you will be given 3 questions to review the concept.
Today's question is: How many kilometers is a 4cm segment on a map that has a scale of 1:10 centimeters to kilometers.
