Interims, informal reports that focus on work habits, are going home for the subjects that I teach on Monday.
Things are going well if you are in the always and most of the time columns. If you have a sometimes or never checked, this means that you have an area to focus on and improve.

Academic Notes:
English: This week you will be working on a Literary Device Activity and then beginning a Dystopian Unit with Mrs Bertucci, our student teacher.
Math: You will be multiplying fractions this week with Mrs Bertucci. Some of you need to practice your 2 to 12 times tables at home. How do you know if you need to do this? If you can't answer 7 x 9 without pausing and using your fingers, you need to do some drills using a deck of cards like we have done in class or go to a site like multiplication.com. We expect fluency in Grade 8 and you need to work on it to make that happen.
S.S.: You will be learning how to conduct an inquiry. We will be investigating a question around the Vikings. Part of inquiry is formulating the question and we will be reviewing how to do this as well as how to research to answer that question. Copy and paste is not research, it is plagiarism, and we will be discussing what this means.
